The hosting of the 2024 Asian Police Taekwondo Open Championship of MPS is to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the Public Security Forces and the 20th anniversary of the “All people protecting national security” Festival.
The tournament will take place from December 06th to December 9th at the Quang Ninh Multipurpose Sports House in Ha Long city.

The tournament will have two main events: the 2024 Asian Open Police Taekwondo Championship and the Asian Police Taekwondo Festival.
At the ceremony, the organizing committee also revealed the logo and mascot of the 2024 Asian Open Police Taekwondo Championship.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long underlined that the 2024 Asian Open Police Taekwondo Championship taking place in Vietnam provides a valuable opportunity for the country to promote the beautiful image, bravery and talent of the Vietnamese people in general and the Vietnamese Police Force in particular among international friends.
The Deputy Minister also stressed that the tournament is a good chance to strengthen cooperation between the Vietnamese Police Force and police forces of participating Asian countries, while encouraging and improving the quality of sports training in general and Taekwondo training in particular.

To successfully host the sport event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long requested that the Department of Party and Political Affairs closely coordinate with the Quang Ninh Provincial Police Department, the Public Security Sports Association and other relevant units to draft a detailed organization plan and prepare all conditions and facilities for the tournament so as to leave a good impression in the hearts of international friends.
