
Recently, leaders of the Department of Cybersecurity and Hi-tech Crimes Prevention have called upon all officers and soldiers to raise funds for forces working in COVID-19 and affected people. The proceeds mounted to 50 million VND.
Over the past time, officers and soldiers of the Department of Cybersecurity and Hi-tech Crime Prevention have joined a lot of social activities such as offering facemasks, hand sanitizers, food and financial supports to units working in the fight against COVID-19 and COVID-19-hit people.
Regarding its professional missions, the Department of Cybersecurity and Hi-tech Crime Prevention has cooperated with local police to handle more than 1,300 individuals posting fake or false information on social networks and effectively dealt with illegal online trade of necessities and medical equipment via Facebook and other social networks amid the pandemic.
During the COVD-19 outbreak in Bach Mai hospital, the Department of Cybersecurity and Hi-tech Crime Prevention deployed its Quick Response Team in coordination with functional agencies successfully identify ingoing and outgoing persons through the hospital’s surveillance camera system from March 12 to 27. During the work, the Quick Response Team analyzed more than 25 terabytes of data of 26,340 files related to the 19,294 individuals, and then joined the Hanoi Municipal Police Department in finding and quarantining all those exposed to the virus.
