Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh checks preparation for Kizuna Ekiden Hanoi 2018
MPS - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of Organizing Board of, chaired a meeting of the Organizing Board of the Kizuna Ekiden Hanoi 2018 – Run for Traffic Safety to assess the preparation for the event took place in Hanoi on November 14.
The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam in coordination with Japan’s Mainichi Shimbum newspaper will organize the run to promote the friendship and cooperation as well as cultural and sporting exchanges between the police forces, businesses and people of Vietnam and Japan. This is also part of activities to mark 45th anniversary of Vietnam – Japan diplomatic relations (September 21, 1973-2018).

At the meeting, representatives of relevant units briefed Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh on the preparation for the sport event.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh asked all relevant units to ensure security and safety for the event, pay more attention to the event information and promotion as well as medical preparation. He also underscored the need to ensure traffic order and safety during the event.
The Kizuna Ekiden Hanoi 2018 – Run for Traffic Safety will start at 7 a.m on November 18 around Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi. The event is expected to draw 1,200 participants from various police units, businesses and people of Vietnam and Japan.
