Speaking at the meeting, Major General Tu Hong Son, Director of the Quang Binh Police Department said, both sides have effectively cooperated in ensuring security and order under the guidelines of the two Parties and States, and within the framework of cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and the Ministry of Security of Laos, as well as MoU between the police forces of the two provinces, contributing to ensuring security and order along the shared borderline and fostering traditional relations between the two countries.

At the meeting, the two sides signed the 26th MoU to promote cooperation in ensuring security and order.
On this occasion, the Provincial Police Department of Quang Binh also presented 50 million VND to the security forces of Khammouan, suffering great losses in the recent flooding.
