Quang Nam police open training course for Lao police officers

Delegates attend opening ceremony.

Present at the opening ceremony were Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of Se Kong province Lech Lay Sivilay, Director of the Quang Nam Provincial Police Department Major General Nguyen Duc Dung, Deputy Director of the Quang Nam Provincial Police Department Senior Colonel Nguyen Ha Lai, two deputy directors of the Se Kong Provincial Police Department Colonel Tha Vi Sac Phet Phu Luang and Lieutenant Colonel Kham Khang Thong Sa Vat as well as a number of local officials.

During the training course, the participating Lao police officers study theory and practice staff-work, political security work, anti-crime operationa, building of the “All people protect national security” movement and so on.

The leadership of the Quang Nam Provincial Police Department has sent experienced officers to lecture 10 topics, and after that the trainees will also have a 15-day field trip to units under the Quang Nam Provincial Police Department.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and Secretary and Governor of Se Kong Province Lech Lay Sivilay hailed the relationship between the police forces of Quang Nam and Se Kong provinces as a typical model, contributing to further strengthening solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two provinces.

Over the past time, the Party committees and governments of the two provinces have created favorable conditions for the police forces of the two provinces to coordinate closely in all areas of work, said the participating leaders of the provinces.

They also promised to provide sufficient support and assistance to the trainees and trainers of the professional training.

*After the opening ceremony, the delegation of the Quang Nam Provincial Police Department and the Border Guard Command of Quang Nam Province led by Director of the Quang Nam Provincial Police Department Major General Nguyen Duc Dung and Chief of the Provincial Border Guard Command Senior Colonel Tran Tien Hien visited the Se Kong Provincial Police Department on the occasion of the 2024 Bunpimay and the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the Lao Public Security Force (April 5, 1961) and 40 years since the founding of the province (April 14, 1984).
