Board 94 of the Public Security Forces reviews working results in 2018 and rolls out plan for 2019

MPS - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS), on January 16th in Hanoi, held a conference to review results of the Public Security Forces in preventing and combating wrong views of hostile forces in 2018 and roll out the working plan for 2019. The meeting was attended by Mr. Vo Van Thuong, Politburo Member, Member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, Head of Central Information and Education Commission, Head of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Peaceful Evolution in Cultural and Ideological Fronts (known as Board 94). It was also chaired by Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Member of Central Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of Board 94 of the Public Security Forces for.

During 2018, under the direction of the MPS,  relevant public security agencies and units  promoted coordination with the Central Information and Education Commission, and the Ministry of Information and Communications to instruct public security newspapers, media, and publishers to issue more information, publications and programs fighting wrong views of hostile forces. 

Overview of the conference.

In his remarks, Mr. Vo Van Thuong proposed the MPS to continue playing its role in advising the Politburo, Secretariat and Central Public Security Party Committee, as well as Board 94 on effective measures to counter wrong views of hostile and reactionary forces. He also suggested that the MPS should quickly give information, including complicated and sensitive one, such as details of economic and corruption cases to the press and media. According to him, the press and media of People’s Police Forces should enhance the fight against wrong views, and at the same time create new and more interesting forms of their information.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam asked the Board 94 of the Public Security Forces to follow the directions from the Head of the Central Information and Education Commission, and take the instructions as the foundations for it to draw up its working plan for 2019.
