Communal police force be people’s firm support

MPS - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) organized a meeting to review the 2-year implementation of Resolution No.12 of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Directive No.11 of the Minister of Public Security on continuing to build the communal police force to meet the task requirements in the new situation, on the morning of October 14th, in Hanoi.

Delivering a general report on the implementation of the official documents at the meeting, Chief of the Office of MPS Major General Dang Hong Duc revealed that, over the past 2  years, relevant under-ministerial departments as well as police departments of provinces and centrally-run cities actively advised competent authorities on innovative methods of deploying Resolution No.12 and Directive No.11, and effectively implemented them, demonstrating their care for the communal police force as well as their strong determination to achieve the set objectives.

Thanks to the effort of all involved police units and agencies, a number of objectives set in Resolution No.12 have been completed on schedule, including hard goals requiring the participation of the entire political system and the strong leadership of the local authorities.

Under the chair of Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To, delegates discussed outstanding achievements of units in implementing Resolution No.12 and Directive No.11, as well as pointed out remaining difficulties and obstacles and proposed approaches to address the remaining issues for better outcomes of the implementation of the official documents.

Concluding the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang commended a number of police units and agencies, especially the grassroots level police force, for their outstanding achievements in implementing Resolution No.12 and Directive No.11.

The Minister affirmed that the communal police force has performed its tasks in a more and more systematic, effective and efficient manner, stayed close to the people and truly served as a “peaceful support” of people according to the motto “The police be wherever people are in need.”

Regarding key tasks in the coming time, Minister Luong Tam Quang stressed the need to strengthen the Party’s leadership over the communal police force as well as promote the building of a truly clean and comprehensively strong communal police force.

The Minister also requested competent authorities to promptly commend outstanding groups and individuals of the communal police force and promote the spreading of beautiful images of the force among people, while providing sufficient equipment and facilities in support of the work of the communal police force.

In addition, Minister Luong Tam Quang also suggested paying much attention to developing the grassroots-level order and security support force so that it can be a truly “extended arm” of the police force in the work of ensuring security and order.

At the meeting, MPS launched an emulation movement to promote the building of the communal police force to meet its tasks requirements in the new situation to welcome the Public Security Party Congresses for the 2025 - 2030 term at all levels and the 80th founding anniversary of the Public Security Forces next year.

Minister Luong Tam Quang called on the entire Public Security Forces to make all efforts for and step up the building of the communal police force to meet the requirements for order and security at the grassroots level in the new situation.
