Department of Internal Political Security rolls out 2025 work plan

MPS - The Department of Internal Political Security held a meeting to review its work results in 2024 and roll out its 2025 work plan, on the afternoon of January 13th, in Hanoi.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Pham The Tung attended and delivered a keynote speech at the meeting.

Director of the Department of Internal Political Security Major General Dinh Van Noi chaired the meeting.

Reports at the meeting indicated that the Department of Internal Political Security actively advised the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security’s (MPS) leaders on approaches to address major internal political security issues, as well as other complicated issues related to internal political security, in 2024.

Additionally, the department successfully performed its tasks of protecting the Party’s ideological foundation and effectively played its role as the agency in charge of State management of State secrets.

The Department of Internal Political Security also directed the Internal Political Security Force nationwide to implement assigned tasks in support of the Party congresses at all local levels in the buildup to the 14th National Party Congress, while joining efforts with other competent agencies in inspections to detect and handle cases with signs of law violations in various fields.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung acknowledged and hailed the outstanding achievements of the entire Internal Political Security Force in 2024.

Underscoring that various major political events will take place in 2025 while the Internal Political Security Force is still facing difficulties, challenges, and potential complex issues, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung requested that the Department of Internal Political Security thoroughly grasp the internal security situation and take synchronous measures and continuously renovate the working method of protecting internal political security to ensure security and safety for the upcoming Party congresses at all levels.

Deputy Minister Pham The Tung also requested the department to attach greater importance to building a truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Internal Political Security Force to meet the task requirements in the new situation, while paying due attention to developing an army of officers with strong political will, firm legal knowledge, excellent professional skills and competency in advising and proposing solutions to complex internal political security situations.
