The meeting was held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2025).
Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired the meeting.
The meeting saw the presence of Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh; Member of the Party Central Committee and General Director of the Voice of Vietnam Do Tien Sy; representatives from the Central Commission for Communication, Education and Mass Mobilization, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; as well as press managers, journalists and reporters from various press agencies.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang underscored that the Vietnam Revolutionary Press has always accompanied the Public Security Forces over the past eight decades, and made significant contributions to maintaining national security and social order, ensuring a peaceful and happy life for the people.
Over the past century, the press has proven to be a “sharp weapon” on the ideological and cultural front, playing a crucial role in rebutting false and hostile views while fostering a safe, secure environment in support of the country’s socio-economic development, he added.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed profound gratitude to press management agencies, press agencies, veteran journalists and the press community for their great support and close collaboration with the Public Security Forces in the cause of safeguarding national security and building the Public Security Forces over the past 80 years.
The Minister called on press management agencies, press agencies and generations of journalists and reporters to continue accompanying the Public Security Forces so that the Public Security Forces can always take the lead in implementing the Party’s strategic policies, and fulfill their honorable responsibilities entrusted to the Public Security Forces by the Party, State and people of protecting national security and social order.

Minister Luong Tam Quang hoped that the Vietnam Revolutionary Press will continue to serve as a bridge tightly connecting the Public Security Forces and the people, encourage people from all walks of life to actively join the “All People Protecting National Security” movement, and mobilize the strength of the great national unity bloc to ensure security and order from the grassroots level.
