MPS reviews task performance in November

MPS - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Party Central Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired a meeting to review the work results of the Public Security Forces in November and roll out the December work plan, on December 2nd, in Hanoi.


In November 2024, the Public Security Forces maintained their working momentum in an active, responsible and effective manner with their high sense of determination and great effort, so that many targets were achieved and exceeded the planned objectives.

Notably, the Public Security Party Central Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) directed under-ministerial police departments as well as police departments of provinces and centrally-run cities to effectively implement all directions of the Party and State on safeguarding national security and ensuring social order and safety.

The Public Security Forces ensured absolute security and safety for activities of Party and State leaders, major events of the country as well as international high-ranking delegations visiting Vietnam.

At the meeting, under the chairmanship of the Minister, delegates discussed approaches to prevent street crime and illegal motor racing, effectively implement the National Target Programme on Drug Prevention and Control until 2030 and carefully prepare for the 80th National Public Security Conference.

Concluding the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Party Central Committee and MPS leaders, Minister Luong Tam Quang acknowledged and applauded the outstanding achievements of the Public Security Forces in November 2024.

Regarding key tasks in December 2024, the Minister underlined that all police units and agencies should pay due attention to summarizing their work in 2024 as well as rolling out the 2025 work plan.

The units and agencies should make careful preparations for the Public Security Party Congresses at all levels in the buildup to the 8th Central Public Security Party Congress.

The Minister also requested the police forces to focus on investigating criminal cases under the supervision and direction of the Central Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Corruption and Negative Phenomena.

He also asked the police forces to effectively combat predicate crimes that may lead to other offenses, such as drug-related crime and gambling, prevent and fight against crimes that tend to increase at the end of the year, particularly robbery, theft, smuggling, manufacturing and trading of counterfeit goods and food safety violations, especially focus on suppressing and dismantling criminal gangs.
