MPS - Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Chairman of the Management Board of the Public Security Comradeship Fund, signed a decision to support 20 billion VND for 10 provinces and centrally-run cities badly affected by Typhoon No.3 and its circulation, on September 18th, 2024.

Earlier, in response to the calls of the General Secretary and State President, the Prime Minister and the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front, on September 11th, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) launched a fund-raising event for people affected by Typhoon No.3 and police officers injured or dead during the fight against the natural disasters.

In response to the call of MPS, police agencies and units nationwide actively participated in the donation campaign to support people affected by the recent natural disasters. The Department of Organization and Personnel under MPS was entrusted to gather all the proceeds and then transferred them to the Public Security Comradeship Fund.

Approved by Minister Luong Tam Quang, the Public Security Comradeship Fund allocated 20 billion VND to 10 affected provinces and cities.

MPS might provide more support to natural disaster-hit localities if the situation there were more complicated and serious.

The Minister assigned Directors of the ten provincial-level police departments to transfer the financial support to the People’s Committee of their localities to help people relieve the consequences of Typhoon No.3.
