The event saw the presence of former Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Sinh Hung, former Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.
Deputy Ministers of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung and Major General Dang Hong Duc also attended the ceremony.

Commander of the Security Guard Command Major General Pham Thanh Hung chaired the ceremony.
In his speech, Head of the Party and State Leaders Protection Division Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Dong underlined that the unit has ensured absolute security and safety for tens of thousands of activities of Party and State leaders over the years, including those in complex security and order areas, remote and mountainous regions, natural disaster hit places and on islands.

Throughout the years, all officers and enlistees of the unit have consistently overcome all difficulties and hardships, and demonstrated their great courage, creativity and resourcefulness at work, excellently fulfilling all assigned duties, significantly contributing to the proud tradition of the Security Guard Force.
Addressing the ceremony, on behalf of Party and State leaders, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan hailed the efforts, achievements and outstanding feats of arms attained by generations of officers and enlistees of the Party and State Leaders Protection Division under the Security Guard Command over the past time.

To successfully fulfill the responsibilities entrusted by the Party and State leaders in the coming time, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan requested that the Security Guard Force in general and the Party and State Leaders Protection Division in particular continue to build the capacity of guard officers so that all officers of the division are able to produce exact forecast and evaluation of the situation, handle situations arising quickly and effectively, and coordinate closely and efficiently with other functional units and agencies at all levels.
Each close-protection officer should strive to embody four indispensable qualities, namely loyalty, dedication, proficiency, and exemplary conduct, in implementing their silent but proud mission, she added.
The Vice President expressed confidence that the officers and enlistees of the Party and State Leaders Protection Division, and the Security Guard Command as a whole, will always be united, determined and steadfast so as to achieve even greater accomplishments in the new era of Vietnam’s national development.
