Hue police successfully find foreign tourist missing

MPS - On May 17, 2025, the Hue City Police Department announced that they had successfully found a foreign tourist with Parkinson’s disease who had gone missing while visiting the city.

Earlier, Mr. Kelly Grant Norman (born in 1958, a New Zealand national), who was showing signs of memory loss, left the Moonlight Boutique Hotel in Phu Hoi Ward, Thuan Hoa District at around 1:00 p.m. on May 16.

Shortly after, his family could not contact him.

Upon receiving the report from the Phu Hoi Ward Police Station, officers from the Thuy Xuan Ward Police Station (Thuan Hoa District) immediately launched a search for the missing across the area, and circulated his description to local residents to enlist their assistance.

Thanks to the swift and responsible deployment of the local police along with the active support of the local community, Mr. Kelly Grant Norman was found safe in Thuy Xuan Ward on the morning of May 17.

The police subsequently contacted the hotel management to inform his family and arranged for his safe return.
