Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh visits Environmental Police Department

MPS - Member of the Politburo and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh paid a Tet visit to officers and enlistees of the Environmental Police Department, on the afternoon of February 3rd, 2025.

The Deputy Prime Minister-led delegation was joined by Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Do Duc Duy and Vice-Chairman of the Government’s Office Trinh Manh Linh.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long and Director of the Environmental Police Department Lieutenant General Tran Minh Le welcomed the delegation.

Reporting to the Deputy Prime Minister on the notable achievements of the Environmental Police Department over the past time, Lieutenant General Tran Minh Le underlined that the Environmental Police Force has gradually become a core force in preventing combating environmental crimes and law violations.

Accordingly, the force effectively supported and closely coordinated with relevant units and agencies to carry out the State’s management in terms of natural resource management, environmental protection and food safety, contributing to the sustainable development of the country and the well-being of the people.

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh praised the entire Environmental Police Force for its effort, dedication and achievements in protecting the environment over the past time.

Highlighting the difficulties and challenges the Environmental Police Force may face in 2025, the Deputy Prime Minister called for the police department to further promote its pioneering, exemplary and leading role in implementing the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, the State's policies and laws and the Government’s resolutions and directives on environmental protection while playing its key role in environmental protection in general and in combating environmental crimes and law violations related to natural resources and food safety in particular.
