Delivering a general report at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung underlined that MPS had played a pioneering and exemplary role in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and achieved numerous significant results, especially in providing strategic advisory work for Party and State leaders, protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety as well as building the Public Security Forces.
At the working session, delegates reached consensus on the reports of MPS and proposed numerous approaches to firmly safeguard national security, ensure social order and safety, build the Public Security Forces, enhance the efficiency of the work of drafting and amending laws on security and order as well as strengthen coordination between MPS and ministries, branches and juridical agencies.

Addressing the working session, on behalf of Party and State leaders, President Luong Cuong praised MPS with its highest sense of responsibility for excellently fulfilling all assigned tasks, contributing to protecting the Party, the State and the People, ensuring national interests as well as political security, social order and safety, contributing to maintaining a peaceful, stable, secure and safe environment for national development.
Agreeing with MPS’s work plans and key tasks in the coming time, the President requested MPS to excellently perform the task of ensuring absolute safety for major national events, especially the coming Party congresses at all local levels in the buildup to the 14th National Party Congress.

The President also underlined that MPS should continue to successfully implement Resolution No. 12 by the Politburo on building truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces to meet the task requirements in the new situation.
On behalf of the Public Security Party Central Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister Luong Tam Quang sincerely thanked the President for his concern and care for the Public Security Forces.

The Minister affirmed that in the coming time, the entire Public Security Forces would continue to further promote the heroic traditions cultivated by generations of public security officers, wholeheartedly serve the Party, the Fatherland and the People, and determine to successfully fulfill all political tasks entrusted by the Party, the State and the People.
