Public Security Forces accelerating plan to change traditional working environment to electronic one

MPS - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a meeting to review the digital transformation in the Public Security Forces and summarize the 2-year implementation of Plan No.377 to digitalize files and documents at work, on the afternoon of October 10th, in Hanoi.

The meeting was held online, connecting delegates from the MPS headquarters and under-ministerial departments and provincial-level police departments nationwide.

Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Head of the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation of MPS, chaired the meeting.

Delivering his opening speech, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long stated that the meeting aimed to review the digital transformation process and the implementation of Project 06 in the Public Security Forces, point out shortcomings and limitations, and seek approaches to further promote digital transformation in the Public Security Forces.

It also aimed to summarize the 2-year implementation of Plan No. 377 issued by MPS on digitalization of files and documents in the Public Security Forces and discuss orientations for the work in the coming time.

 

Overview of the meeting.


At the meeting, delegates deeply analyzed the remaining issues, pointed out shortcomings and limitations, and proposed approaches to strongly promote the implementation of digital transformation, Project 06 and digitalization of files and documents in the Public Security Forces, so as to achieve the set goals for 2025, creating a basis for the 2026 -2030 period.

Addressing the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang requested that the MPS Steering Committee for Digital Transformation should take stronger and more drastic measures to obtain the set goals, playing its leading role and setting an example for other Central agencies, ministries, branches and localities nationwide in implementing the Government's digital transformation mission.

The minister determined that 2025 will be the time when the Public Security Forces will fundamentally change their traditional working environment to an electronic one, requesting that all public security units and agencies should proactively build infrastructure and prepare other conditions for an electronic working platform according to their functions and missions,  so all public services will be provided for businesses and people online while all documents will be digitalized and administrative procedures of agencies and units will be carried out in an electronic intra-network of the Public Security Forces.
