Since 2020, 358 local people have completed their prison sentences and returned to the locality.
Most of them are freelancers without a stable job, so they face many difficulties in their lives. They still have an inferiority complex and are easily drawn back to the wrong path if not receiving empathy and support from the community during their social reintegration.

Over the past time, the Dak Glong authority as well as the local police force have organized a series of social activities to support ex-prisoners to reintegrate into society, including offering seeds and livestock, giving credits, and providing vocational guidance and job referrals to them.
At the meeting, delegates also pointed out remaining difficulties of ex-prisoners in social reintegration as well as proposed approaches to help them easily reintegrate into society and develop their family economy.

At the meeting, delegates also heard ex-prisoners’ needs and wishes saying that the local authority, organizations and businesses would offer them with preferential loans and jobs so that they can have a stable income and strive for a better life.
On the occasion, the Dak Glong District People’s Committee presented gifts to 10 ex-prisoners who had made progress in reintegrating into the community or faced particular difficulty.
