To help the affected people overcome the aftermath of natural disasters and soon restore their normal lives, the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with local authorities decided to build new houses to 20 families who had lost their homes due to floods and landslides.

In realizing the policy of the Ministry of Public Security, the Board of Directors of the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department directed involved units to mobilize maximum forces and means to speed up the construction to soon complete and hand over the houses to the beneficiary families.
The new homes will meet the standards set by the Ministry of Public Security: concrete foundations, strong walls and solid roofs, and each has a minimum area of 30 square meters.
If households invest additional funds or materials in the construction, they can have a more spacious home and other auxiliary construction items, such as kitchen, yard or water tank. All the newly-built “Compassion” houses have concrete foundations, painted brick walls, corrugated iron roofs, tiled floors, and concrete yards.

After a month, the first 10 “Compassion” houses have been completed, bringing joy and happiness to the local authority and people in the commune.
On the occasion, the 10 beneficiary families were presented 10 gifts by the Ministry of Public Security, 10 gifts by Dien Bien district, 10 multi-functional agricultural cultivation machines by the Women Union chapter of the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department and 1,000 chickens and livestock feed by the Youth Union chapters of the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department and Phenikaa University and other benefactors.
