Hai Duong police educate local students on traffic safety regulations

MPS - The Hai Duong Provincial Police Department, in coordination with the Nguyen Du High School, held a legal education program on the Road Traffic Law, and provide guidance and hands-on experience in safe driving skills for more than 1,000 students, on February 17th, 2025.

During the program, 1,064 students from different grades were updated on legal documents guiding traffic safety education and methods of organizing traffic safety education at school.

They learnt skills to spread traffic safety and approaches to build the "Safe School Gates" model.

In addition, local traffic police officers provided the students with basic knowledge of the new Road Traffic Law, including several amendments and revisions, as well as key contents of Decree No. 168/2024/ND-CP on administrative penalties for road traffic violations.

The police also trained the students to avoid dangerous traffic situations as well as to observe traffic safety regulations while participating in road traffic.

Additionally, the school’s teachers and students were briefed on the current traffic safety situation nationwide and in the province as well as various traffic issues involving parents and students.

The traffic police analyzed main causes of traffic accidents, gave warnings, and stressed the need to seriously abide by traffic safety rules.

During the event, the police carefully explained the students about common traffic violations, including wrong road direction and lane usage, disobedience of traffic signs and exceeding speed limits as well as rules on minimum driving ages for different traffic means.

After the legal education, students had a chance to practice riding moped bikes, particularly electric bikes, on road traffic simulations.
