Following the policy of the Party Central Committee and the Government on eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, MPS has launched a project to support households with housing difficulties.

Over the past time, MPS has mobilized various resources to support people with meritorious service to the revolutionary cause, households affected by natural disasters, poor households and households of ethnic minorities to build or repair their homes.
So far, 17,200 homes of “Compassion” have been built or repaired nationwide, thanks to the support of MPS as well as public security units and agencies.
In Quang Tri province only, with financial support from MPS, the Quang Tri Provincial Police Department in coordination with the local authorities and involved units has built 200 homes of “Compassion” for poor households in the two mountainous districts of Huong Hoa and Dakrong.

With their great effort and determination, the participating forces have completed the building of the 200 houses and handed them over to the beneficiaries in time to celebrate the 2025 Lunar New Year, after two months of construction.
The homes of “Compassion” are expected to help the beneficiaries have a stable life and encourage them to work harder so as to soon escape from poverty.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung highly appreciated the sound leadership of the Party Committee, the People’s Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province and praised the local police for their spirit of “wholeheartedly serving the people” in supporting poor local households with housing difficulties to build their homes.

The Deputy Minister congratulated the beneficiaries on their new, spacious and solid houses, wishing that the beneficiary families would soon escape from poverty, strive for a better life as well as actively participate in the “All people protecting national security” movement and support the local police in protecting security and order at the grassroots levels.
At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung and leaders of Quang Tri province cut the ribbon to inaugurate the homes of “Compassion” and presented 200 packs of gifts from the Minister of Public Security to the beneficiary families in the two districts.
