MPS Office launches “I Love My Fatherland” program in Son La

MPS - The Youth Union chapter of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) in collaboration with the Staff Division and the Youth Union chapter under the Son La Provincial Police Department and other companions launched a volunteer program titled “I love my Fatherland” in Thuan Chau and Quynh Nhai districts, on December 29th, 2024.

Deputy Chief of MPS Office Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Nguyen attended the program.

At Chieng Ngam Primary School in Thuan Chau district, the delegation handed over a computer room with 30 computer sets to the school's teachers and students, gave 40 gifts to poor students with excellent academic records, provided 100 scholarships on the Mobiedu platform, and presented 500 books and 100 warm coats to the local students.

Later, the delegation inaugurated a newly-built kindergarten in Keo Ca hamlet, Muong Gion commune, Quynh Nhai district and handed over a “Children's Playground” project and gave gifts, warm coats, blankets and milk to 55 students there.

On this occasion, the Staff Division of the Son La Provincial Police Department also presented the school with a 55-inch LG television worth 10 million VND.

With the volunteer program, worth nearly 700 million VND, various meaningful gifts have been given to the children in the highland areas of Son La, encouraging them to overcome difficulties and achieve high academic results.

As part of the program, Son La police officers also held meeting, explaining local students, teachers and parents at various schools about the harmful effects of illicit drugs, skills to prevent crime, illicit drug abuse and school violence, in the hope that students are able to protect themselves from social evils and school violence, contributing to building a safe and healthy school environment.
