Soc Trang police present books to local schools

MPS - The youths of the Soc Trang Provincial Police, in coordination with the Program “Bookcase of Compassion”, on October 26 organized a charitable program to hand over 70 bookcases to five schools in the province.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Minh Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Soc Trang Provincial Police Department and the sponsors present bookcases and books to local schools.

 

At the event, the charitable delegation presented over 3,000 books of various genres useful to students, worth VND 110 million in total, to five local schools, namely Huynh Cuong Ethnic Boarding School, Tai Van 1 Primary School, Trung Binh Secondary School, Ke Sach 2 Primary School and Ke Sach Secondary School. Additionally, the delegation also presented 20 packages of gifts, worth VND 40 million, to poor students with good records as well as conducted free ID card issuance for 114 students.

The program is a meaningful activity within the framework of the Project "Youths of the People's Public Security Forces support disadvantaged children to go to school” launched by the Youth Union Committee under the Ministry of Public Security aimed at encouraging and helping poor students have better learning conditions.
