Son La Provincial Police Department hands over compassion homes for families affected by Typhoon Yagi
MPS - The Son La Provincial Police Department has recently held a ceremony to hand over new houses for households in Chieng Ban district and Mai Son district, who had lost their homes during Typhoon Yagi.
In the implementation of directions of the Public Security Party Central Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security on building homes for people who had lost their homes due to floods and landslides, the Son La Provincial Police Department mobilized its maximum forces and means to build new houses for the affected households in Na Bo commune, Chieng Ban district and Hat Lot town, Mai Son district.
The Ministry of Public Security has a policy to fund 50 million VND for a home-lost household while the Mai Son district supported 30 million VND for each, and police officers and enlistees of the Son La Provincial Police Department are responsible for building the houses.

After 10 days of construction, 3 new houses have been finished.
Each house is built with reinforced concrete foundation structure, load-bearing beams, iron columns, heat-resistant corrugated iron roof, electrical system and some auxiliary facilities such as yard and kitchen.
The total construction cost of the three houses is 240 million VND.
The building of compassion homes for disadvantaged families is of great significance as it demonstrates the compassion and empathy of the Public Security Forces for natural disaster affected people, and reflects the spirit of “The People’s Public Security Forces are ready to sacrifice for the country and wholeheartedly serve the people”.
