Waterway police reinforced to flooded district of Chuong My

MPS - Waterway police officers and soldiers of the Department of Traffic Police and Provincial Police Departments of Hung Yen, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh and Ha Nam have been reinforced to the flood-affected district of Chuong My (Hanoi).

According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Relief and Rescue of Hanoi, the water level of the Bui river is decreasing slowly. To date, 2,839 households in Chuong My still submerged from 0.5 to 2m under water, and 6,097 people are still at evacuated locations and unable to return home.
 

Waterway Police deploys rescue plans.


The Department of Traffic Police has deployed officers of Waterway Division 1 and Waterway Police Offices of neighbouring provinces to Chuong My to conduct rescue activities in the deeply flooded areas. Additionally, the Department also assigned 5 canoes and various advanced equipment at key places to be ready for rescue missions up on request.
