
Cao Bang police return lost property to foreign tourists
On November 17, while traveling on the road, Mr. Dang Van Ton, a resident of Nam Ngua hamlet, Thanh Long commune, Cao Bang province, found a bag on the roadside.

Mr. Ton checked the bag and discovered valuable items inside, including essential personal documents such as passports, bank cards and other belongings of two German tourists.
Realizing the importance and urgency of the lost property to its owners, Mr. Ton immediately brought the whole bag to the Thanh Long Communal Police Station to hand it over to the police.
Upon receiving the items, the Thanh Long Communal Police Station promptly take professional measures to identify the rightful owners.
Just one day later, on November 18, the local police identified the owner of the bag - German tourist Zoe Berger – and invited her to the Thanh Long Communal Police Station to receive all of her lost documents and belongings.
When getting back her lost property, Ms. Zoe Berger expressed deep gratitude to those who had helped her recover it.
She appreciated not only Mr. Dang Van Ton’s honesty and commendable gesture but also the timely, effective support and high sense of responsibility of the officers of the Thanh Long Communal Police Station.
This good deed contributed to promoting the image of a friendly, safe and civilized Vietnam in the eyes of international visitors.
