
MPS mobilizes maximum forces to ensure security and safety of celebration of August Revolution and National Day
The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a ceremony to deploy forces and means to ensure the security and safety of the upcoming grand ceremony and parade marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on the morning of August 29, in Hanoi.

Reporting on the results of security work for the celebration, Chief of the MPS Office and Standing Deputy Head of the Subcommittee Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan stated that the Subcommittee had resolutely directed relevant public security units and agencies to take comprehensive measures to ensure security and order of the grand celebration with the aim of ensuring absolute safety and security, preventing any unexpected incidents and denying even the slightest mistake at the celebration venues and across the country.
At the ceremony, Director of the Hanoi City Police Department Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung stressed that the Hanoi City Police Department was honored and proud to be entrusted with the principal responsibility for ensuring security and order of the celebration in the capital city, adding that the local police force would do their utmost to successfully complete the mission.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee, the MPS leadership and the Security and Order Subcommittee, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung acknowledged and highly appreciated the relevant forces for their great effort and initial success in ensuring security and order across the city as well as in safeguarding a series of commemorative activities.
As there are only three days left until the official grand ceremony and one day left until the State-level full-dress rehearsal, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung stressed that effective security plans should be deployed at the highest and most decisive level, leaving no room for even the slightest error while also creating the most favorable conditions for the organization of the celebration and for the people to enjoy the grand parade.

He instructed all public security units and agencies to remain vigilant and devote their utmost efforts to ensure absolute security and safety of the grand celebration.
The Deputy Minister also requested efficient implementation of traffic measures to prevent accidents and congestions, negatively affecting celebration activities, and deploy forces, vehicles and equipment at key places and routes according to the approved plans, leave security risks or hostile elements unchecked, and swiftly resolve any emerging situations at early stage and from afar.
