* Receiving Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To, Cambodian First Deputy Prime Minister Neth Savoeun expressed his delight at the positive cooperation results between the Cambodian Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, especially in crime prevention and control.
The host hoped that the two sides would further strengthen cooperation in security and order protection, crime prevention and control as well as law enforcement in the coming time.

Sincerely thanking First Deputy Prime Minister Neth Savoeun for the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To proposed that the two sides should strengthen cooperation in preventing fake and malicious information as well as combating transnational crime, drug-related crime, illegal weapon trading and uncontrolled immigration.
The Vietnamese Deputy Minister also underlined that the two countries should enhance people-to-people exchange, especially in border areas, to tighten the friendship between the two peoples, aiming to bring into full play people's great strength and potential in protecting the national security of each country, contributing to developing the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship of “good neighbourliness, traditional friendship and comprehensive, sustainable and long-term cooperation” in a practical and effective manner.

At the meeting, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sar Sokha extended his condolences to the Vietnamese Government and people over the loss caused by Typhoon Yagi.
The Cambodian official revealed that, over the past time, the two sides have closely coordinated to exchange crime information and ensure security and safety for political major events taking place in each country, and thanked the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam for supporting the Cambodian Ministry of Interior in training and building capacity of their law enforcement forces.
Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sar Sokha suggested that the two sides continue to strengthen cooperation in exchanging information, training, state management of population and crime prevention and control, especially the fight against drug-related crime, human trafficking and transnational organized crime, contributing to developing a peaceful shared borderline for the benefits of people of the two countries.

Sincerely thanking the host for the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To agreed with the Cambodian senior official’s assessments of bilateral cooperation results over the past time as well as his suggested cooperation orientations in the coming time.
The Vietnamese official also stressed that in the coming time, the two sides should enhance information exchange and closely coordinate to combat transnational crime along the shared borderline between the two countries.
Within the framework of his visit to Cambodia, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To also visited the Representative Office of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in Cambodia.
