Ministry of Public Security, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group agree to boost cooperation
MPS - The Global Mobile Telecommunications Joint Stock Company (Gtel Mobile) of the Global Technology and Telecommunications Corporation (Gtel) under the Ministry of Public Security signed a cooperation agreement with the Network Infrastructure Corporation of the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), on the afternoon of May 8, 2023, in Hanoi.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang attended and delivered a speech at the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that, for many years, the agencies of the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, including Gtel Mobile and the Network Infrastructure Corporation, have had a close coordination relationship, actively contributing to protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, facilitating socio-economic development, as well as promoting digital transformation and the building of digital government, digital society, digital economy.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between Global Mobile Telecommunication Joint Stock Company and the Network Infrastructure Corporation would not only create a legal basis for the bilateral cooperation, but also contributes to promoting cooperation relationship between Gtel Mobile and VNPT's other affiliates, and effectively implementating the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Public Security and VNPT Group.
In order to effectively implement the signed strategic cooperation agreement, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang asked the Department of Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention and VNPT Group to urgently direct its subordinate units to develop plans on specific projects, clearly define the progress of project implementation, targeted products as well as determine specific responsibilities of each party and found a mechanism to monitor and maintain the implementation of cooperation activities, based on each side’s strengths and resources.
