Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired the ceremony.
Speaking at the event, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS leadership, Minister Luong Tam Quang stated that veteran security officers of the Security Office under the Southern Central Party Committee were always absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people, during 15 years operating inside the enemy-occupied areas, despite enduring tremendous hardships and dangers.

He highlighted that the security officers steadfastly maintained an effective security network, ensured absolute safety for the Southern Central Party Committee and senior Party leaders, and successfully discovered and neutralized numerous enemy plots, making significant contributions to the historic victory of the nation in 1975 Spring.
The Minister also expressed profound gratitude to all fallen heroes, particularly the security officers of the Southern Security Force and police officers deployed to the southern battlefield, praising them for their selfless sacrifices for national independence and the peace and happiness of the people.

He affirmed that their contributions during the resistance war against the American invaders will forever be a proud part of the heroic tradition of the People’s Public Security Forces.
Minister Luong Tam Quang revealed that the current generation of the Public Security Forces continue to take the lead in implementing the Party’s and State’s guidelines and policies on ensuring social order and firmly safeguarding national security, leaving no room for unexpected scenarios.

On this occasion, the Minister extended heartfelt gratitude to veteran revolutionaries, former security officers of the Southern Security Commission, families of fallen heroes and wounded soldiers as well as all officers and enlistees of the Public Security Forces.
As part of the program, delegates also presented gifts to former leaders and officers of the Southern Security Office and their families.
