MPS to draft project on strengthening Party’s leadership over at-grassroots security and order protection

MPS - The Ministry of Public Security’s Steering Committee for the project on strengthening the Party’s leadership over at-grassroots security and order protection in the new situation convened a meeting on the afternoon of June 17, in Hanoi.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen, Head of the Steering Committee, chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, a representative from the Standing Agency for the project announced Decision No. 4708/QD-BCA-V05 issued by the Minister of Public Security on June 9, 2025, on the establishment of the Steering Committee and the Working Group for the project.

According to Decision No. 4708, the Steering Committee for the project comprises 26 members and is headed by Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen. Meanwhile, the Working Group for the project consists of 29 members and is led by the Director of the Department of National Security Protection Movement.

At the meeting, members of the Steering Committee discussed and commented on the draft outline of the project and a report on the draft project outline to be submit to the competent authority for approval.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen commended the Standing Agency for the project for its good preparations for the draft documents, as well as acknowledged the sense of responsibility of members of the Steering Committee and Working Group during the discussion, saying that their constructive opinions would contribute to improving the draft documents for the project.

He requested all members to promptly implement their tasks given by the Head of the Steering Committee so as to meet the deadlines as well as the quality requirements.

The Deputy Minister also emphasized the need to clearly define the goals and requirements of the project, which will serve as a basis for the committee to advise the Secretariat to issue a directive on strengthening the Party’s leadership over at-grassroots security and order protection in the new context.
