Public security athlete wins gold on opening day of 2025 National Triathlon Club Championship
MPS - The Sports Authority under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Triathlon Federation and the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism co-organized the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Triathlon Club Championship on June 17, in Long Dat district, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.
The sporting tournament brought together over 120 outstanding athletes representing 12 units from localities and sectors across the country.
The public security female athlete, Nguyen Thi Kim Cuong competes in two categories: the Women’s Individual Triathlon Sprint (750m swimming – 20km cycling – 5km running) and the Women’s Individual Aquathlon (500m swimming – 2.5km running).

Earlier, at the 2025 National Triathlon Championship, Nguyen Thi Kim Cuong clinched the gold medal in the Women’s Individual Triathlon Sprint event.
For this tournament, the coaching board set a clear target for Kim Cuong to secure at least one gold medal.
On the opening day, Kim Cuong with her excellent speed and optimal energy management finished the Women’s Triathlon Sprint event in 1 hour, 11 minutes and 53 seconds, thereby bagging the first gold medal.
