Member of the Politburo, Member of the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee and State President General To Lam and Member of the Politburo, Member of the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered keynote speeches at the meeting.
Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang chaired the meeting.

In his opening speech, Minister Luong Tam Quang stated that the meeting took place in line with the Party Committee’s working regulations and work plan for 2024 and aimed to review its work result in the first 6 months of 2024 as well as discuss a number of issues within the responsibility of the Public Security Central Party Committee.

At the meeting, delegates focused on evaluating the results of the Public Security Central Party Committee’s leading the Public Security Forces in performing their political tasks in the first half, as well as proposing key tasks to be implemented and approaches to successfully fulfill all the political tasks in the second half.
Delegates also reviewed the Public Security Forces’ implementation of the Party and State’s policies regarding police work and suggested amending and supplementing functions and tasks to several under-ministerial departments.

At the meeting, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee Luong Tam Quang read the full text of a report sent to the conference by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong assigning key tasks to the Public Security Central Party Committee in the second half.

Addressing the meeting, President To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated and praised the Public Security Central Party Committee for its outstanding work results over the past time, and requested the Party Committee to bring into full play its strengths to comprehensively and effectively direct all aspects of work of the Public Security Forces in the coming time.
