Ha Giang police build gratitude house for people with meritorious services in Xin Man District

MPS - The Ha Giang Provincial Police Department, in coordination with authorities of Xin Man district, recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of an “August 19 Gratitude” house in Na Chi commune.

After a recent survey, the local authority and police knew that Mr. Hoang Xuan Nhi, a resident of Nam Khuong village in Na Chi commune, who is a war veteran having exposed to Agent Orange during the resistance war against the United States, with a disability rate of 81%. His house is severely deteriorated, and his family faces huge hardship.

Sympathizing with his difficult circumstances, the Ha Giang Provincial Police Department mobilized local police officers and enlistees to raise funds for the construction of a new home for Mr. Nhi and his family.

The meaningful initiative is part of the local police’s participation in the national movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and their numerous activities in commemoration of the 80th founding anniversary of the Public Security Forces.

It also reflects the deeply rooted Vietnamese tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source.”

Through the project, the Ha Giang Provincial Police Force wishes to support disadvantaged local families to overcome their difficulties and strive for a better life.

To ensure the project’s progress and quality, leaders of the Ha Giang Provincial Police Department requested construction units to strictly adhere to the technical and architectural standards, meet the deadlines, and comply with the labor safety regulations.

The project should also  adapt to the local terrain and weather conditions and have a long lifespan.

In addition, the Ha Giang Provincial Police Department advised local Party committees and authorities to mobilize maximum resources to support poor and policy-beneficiary households to rebuild their temporary and dilapidated houses, contributing to sustainable local socio-economic development.
