Regarding law enforcement cooperation, Minister Luong Tam Quang highlighted that, in recent years, the G4 embassies in Vietnam have played an active role in fostering collaboration between the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and law enforcement agencies of the G4 nations in preventing and combating illegal immigration, human trafficking, drug-related crimes and high-tech crimes as well as providing training and capacity-building programs for Vietnamese public security officers.

The Minister also underscored that security cooperation is an important pillar in Vietnam’s relations with the G4 nations, contributing to strengthening mutual political trust, jointly addressing both traditional and non-traditional security challenges as well as supporting conflict de-escalation in global hotspots through peaceful means and respect for international law.
To further strengthen collaboration between the MPS of Vietnam and the G4 countries’ law enforcement agencies, Minister Luong Tam Quang proposed that the two sides should enhance information sharing and consultations on international and regional security issues of mutual concern, while strengthening coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums, including the United Nations and ASEAN-led cooperation frameworks.
