MPS leads the development of national and sectoral database systems

MPS - The Ministry of Public Security held a meeting to discuss approaches to accelerate the development of national and sectoral database systems, on the morning of July 15, in Hanoi.

Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang, Head of the Working Group for the Implementation of the Government’s Project 06, chaired the meeting.

The meeting also saw the presence of Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Head of the Working Group for the Implementation of the Government’s Project 06, as well as representatives from ministries, sectors, major corporations and enterprises.

In line with Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 71 of the Government, as the lead agency, the Ministry of Public Security has coordinated with relevant ministries, sectors, corporations and enterprises to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current state of 11 national and sectoral database systems. At the meeting, delegates deeply analyzed the current situation, held in-depth discussions and gave ideas to improve the development of national and sectoral database systems. In his concluding remarks, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the development of databases under Resolution 71 and those listed in the national database catalog should follow the regulations, procedures and principles, adding that relevant ministries and sectors should review applicable data categories and collaborate with the designated corporations and enterprises to develop implementation plans and digitize data accordingly. The Minister also urged the expeditious progress of ongoing database development projects, highlighting the importance of effective collaboration with the designated corporations and enterprises to complete related tasks by the deadlines. He also stressed the need to synchronize local-level databases with those at the central level, aiming to establish unified nationwide sectoral databases fully integrated into the National Data Center.
