Vietnamese Police II wins ASEAN Police Football Open 2025

MPS - After 10 days of exciting competition, the ASEAN Police Football Open 2025, hosted by the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, officially concluded on the evening of July 15, 2025, at Hang Day Stadium in Hanoi.

The closing ceremony was attended by Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh and President of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan.

Vietnamese Police II was crowned champion of the ASEAN Police Football Open 2025 by demonstrating an impressive and consistent performance throughout the tournament.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented awards to teams and individuals with outstanding performances.

Among the individual honors, Tran Duc Nam of Vietnamese Police II, who scored eight goals, won both the Top Scorer and Best Player awards.

Nattawoot Saengdara, goalkeeper of the Thai team, was named Best Goalkeeper, while the Fair Play Award was presented to the Laos team.

The tournament was organized in celebration of the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnamese People’s Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the “All People Protecting National Security” Festival (August 19, 2005 – August 19, 2025).

The event brought together eight teams from seven countries, including two teams from the host country and teams from Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Australia, Singapore and Timor-Leste.
