Over the years, the company has made significant contributions to the country’s efforts to build a digital economy and a digital society, as well as to playing an important role in ensuring cybersecurity and information safety.
This transfer aligned with the Party and State’s policy on restructuring and enhancing the performance of state-owned enterprises, aiming to bolster the MPS’s capacity to perform national security missions, particularly in ensuring cybersecurity, information security and special-purpose telecommunications in the new context.

At the ceremony, under the witness of leaders of the two ministries, Director of the Department of Finance and Planning under MPS Major General Pham Truong Giang and Member of the Members’ Council and General Director of SCIC Nguyen Quoc Huy signed the handover agreement on the management of the transfer of State capital at FPT Telecom from SCIC to MPS.
In his remarks, SCIC General Director Nguyen Quoc Huy underscored the strategic significance of the transfer, highlighting its role in safeguarding national data security and digital sovereignty.

He expressed confidence that MPS would further strengthen FPT Telecom’s development in the coming time, contributing to boosting key national initiatives such as Project 06 on digital government as well as to building a digital society and national database systems.
On behalf of MPS, Major General Pham Truong Giang affirmed that relevant MPS units would coordinate closely with stakeholders to complete the handover procedures, ensuring a smooth, effective and stable transition.
He also pledged to finalize the legal framework and policies for FPT Telecom’s personnel development while maintaining the company’s operation.
