In response to the Prime Minister’s call for a nationwide emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the MPS provided 355 billion VND of support for Gia Lai, Kon Tum and Dak Nong provinces (prior to their planned administrative consolidation) to build or repair 6,370 houses for policy beneficiaries, poor or near-poor households, out of the total number of 17,834 dilapidated houses in the three provinces.
The MPS’s support aims at improving the living conditions of disadvantaged local people, particularly those of ethnic minority communities.

Thanks to the sound leadership of the steering committees at all levels and the active, responsible engagement of the relevant local agencies, local authorities, mass organizations, businesses and the public, the MPS-funded housing support program was completed one month ahead of the schedule set by the Prime Minister.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung stated that the MPS, as a pioneer in implementing the Party and State’s policies on social welfare and improving people’s livelihoods, has mobilized resources and coordinated with localities to rebuild or repair tens of thousands of homes, semi-boarding schools and hospitals nationwide, with total funding of approximately 2 trillion VND.
In 2025 alone, in response to the national emulation movement “Joining Hands to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses Nationwide,” the MPS mobilized 362 billion VND from the Public Security Forces and an additional 373 billion VND from social sources to rebuild or repair over 10,000 substandard homes in various provinces, including those in the Central Highlands.
