MPS reviews Party building and force building work in second quarter

MPS - Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To chaired a meeting to review second-quarter work results of the Public Security Central Party Committee’s advisory bodies, on the afternoon of June 25 in Hanoi.

In the second quarter of 2025, all advisory bodies of the Public Security Central Party Committee and under-ministerial departments responsible for Party building and force building within the Public Security Forces upheld a high sense of responsibility and made significant efforts to complete a large volume of work.

During the Q2, the advisory bodies and  the in-charge under-ministerial departments actively advised the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry’s leadership to issue action plans on the implementation of one Politburo conclusion, one Government resolution and various strategies on safeguarding national security, maintaining social order and safety and promoting socio-economic development and foreign affairs.

They also completed a number of key tasks related to the implementation of the Party Central Committee’s policy on merging provincial administrative units, dissolving district-level governments, consolidating commune-level administrations and developing a two-tier local government structure.

Additionally, relevant units advised the Public Security Central Party Committee on the preparation and organization of Party congresses at all levels within the Public Security Forces in line with the restructuring of the two-tier local police system while also properly executing policies for personnel affected by the reorganization process.

Addressing the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security’s leadership, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To recognized the efforts and outstanding achievements of the advisory bodies and departments responsible for Party building and force building in the second quarter.

Regarding their key tasks in the coming time, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested that the advisory bodies and the under-ministerial agencies continue to advise the Central Public Security Party Committee to direct the organization of Party congresses at all levels in the buildup to the 8th Public Security Party Congress for the 2025–2030 tenure.

The Deputy Minister requested that the advisory bodies and under-ministerial agencies should also advise on approaches to ensure absolute safety and security for the organization of major political events and grand anniversaries in the time ahead, including the 80th founding anniversary of the Public Security Forces and the 20th anniversary of the “All People Protecting National Security” Festival.

Finally, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To stressed the need to strengthen political and ideological education, extensively promote exemplary officers and achievements of individuals and units and create consensus among public security officers, Party members and the public on the major policies of the Party, the State, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security.
