On May 6, 2025, Mr. Deo Van Chien (born 1972), a resident of Chieng En commune, Song Ma district, Son La province, came to the traffic police team and reported on the lost item, a leather purse, he had found.
The purse contained several personal documents bearing the name Pattrick Michel Tomas, a French national, and 2.5 million VND in cash.

The traffic police promptly deployed officers to the scene and coordinated with local residents in searching for Mr. Tomas.
After a short time, the police officers found the rightful owner of the purse and returned the lost item to him.
Upon getting his lost property back, Mr. Pattrick Michel Tomas expressed his sincere gratitude to the Son La Provincial Traffic Police Force and to Mr. Deo Van Chien for their wholehearted assistance.
